Three hours to swap a capacitor on my Xbox 360. Should have been 20 minutes.
I spent a whole Saturday afternoon trying to fix that red ring of death. Watched a video that said it would take like 20 minutes. Three hours later I finally got the old capacitor out and the new one in. The solder just would not melt right with my cheap iron. Had to run to the hardware store for a better one halfway through. Anyone else spend way too long on a simple fix because of bad tools?

Reminds me of the time I tried to swap a car battery and snapped the terminal bolt because I was using a rusty wrench from the 90s lol. Ended up having to drill it out and it turned a 15 minute job into a whole afternoon meltdown. Bad tools will absolutely wreck your day every single time.

Tried fixing a wobbly ceiling fan once and used a random screwdriver from the junk drawer. Stripped the screw so bad it took me three trips to the hardware store to find the right extractor bit. Ended up just buying a whole new fan out of pure frustration.
