Solder wick saved my PS5 after I junked two controllers

Solder wick saved my PS5 after I junked two controllers. Last month one trigger died, I made it worse with a cheap iron. Picked up decent wick and a flux pen, cleared the joint clean in one shot. Anyone else ruined a board trying to save $60?
