The week I worked from a coffee shop in Lisbon and got nothing done

Last month I spent a week at Cafe Central in Lisbon, thinking the wifi speed of 150 Mbps would make me super productive. But between the constant espresso refills and chatting with three other nomads about their travel stories, I only finished one client project the whole week. Has anyone else found that cozy cafes actually hurt your focus instead of helping?

Heard about a buddy who picked a coffee shop with no wifi on purpose, said he was "getting ahead of distractions." Ended up people-watching for three hours and buying four lattes.
