That one Tuesday my tablet pen died mid-livestream, biggest showcase disaster yet

I was doing a 2-hour speedpaint stream for my gallery profile last Tuesday, and my stylus just stopped working at the 90 minute mark during the final render pass. I had to tell the 15 viewers I'd be back in 10 minutes, but it took me an hour to find the driver issue and I lost half the audience. Has anyone else had a live art demo go completely sideways from a hardware failure, and how did you bounce back?

Wait, did you have a backup plan ready in case something like that happened, or was this purely a winging it situation?
