That critique about my color palettes actually stuck with me

A few weeks ago someone in the critique thread said my pieces all had this muddy teal-orange look. At first I brushed it off but then I pulled up my last 10 uploads and yeah, they were right. I started limiting myself to 3 main hues per piece and testing contrast in grayscale before adding color. The difference is pretty obvious now, even my older followers noticed. Has anyone else gotten feedback that made you rethink a habit you didn't know you had?
