Remember when you could just hit 'save as' and be done with a file?
I was trying to get a huge layered piece ready for a print shop last month, and the color profile thing took me two whole days to fix. My old monitor from like 2015 was showing everything way too warm, so the art looked fine to me but came out super orange on their proof. I had to borrow a friend's newer screen, recalibrate everything, and re-export all 12 high-res files. Has anyone else had a color nightmare that ate up a weekend? What's your go-to fix now?

Read an article last year about how most consumer monitors are set way too bright and blue from the factory. It made me check my own setup with one of those free online calibration tools, and it was a mess. Now I run that quick check before starting any client work, and it saves a lot of headache later. A cheap colorimeter is probably next on my list, because eyeballing it only gets you so far.

Which free tool did you end up using?

Color profiles are the worst, and that sounds like a brutal weekend. A cheap colorimeter was a total game-changer for me too.
