Chose gallery lighting over a better monitor, regret it after 6 weeks
I had $900 saved to upgrade my display for color accuracy, but instead spent it on proper track lighting for my physical print showcase at the local art walk in Portland. The lighting makes the prints pop in person, but now my digital edits look slightly off on my old screen and I keep second-guessing my color picks before publishing. Has anyone else put hardware money into presentation instead of their actual work station, and did you ever find a middle ground?
