Wait a minute! Let's cut the guy some slack here. A big spill sucks but rushing jobs is sometimes the only way to keep things moving. That oil cleanup might not be as long as you think with the right stuff on hand. Honestly, we've all had messy accidents even when trying to be careful. Saving those few minutes could have been for a really good reason, like another urgent repair. Calling it an environmental hazard is a bit over the top for a shop floor that sees this stuff all the time.

How does a fuel pump swap even lead to an oil spill? What exactly did you skip to cause that mess?

Five gallons of oil is a massive spill, not just a little mess. How does that even happen from trying to save a few minutes on a pump swap. That's not a small drip, that's a full on environmental hazard right there. The cleanup is going to take way longer than just doing the job right in the first place. It's a perfect example of a shortcut blowing up in your face.
