Spent a whole shift on a coolant leak that was just a loose hose clamp

I was chasing a drip on a 6.7 Powerstroke for eight hours, checking the oil cooler and water pump. Turns out it was the lower radiator hose clamp, which was just a quarter-turn loose. Has anyone else had a simple fix eat up a crazy amount of time?

Tell me about it. Spent two days on a weird electrical drain in my truck. Traced every wire, pulled fuses, the whole deal. Found a bad switch in the glove box light that was stuck on. Felt like a total idiot.

My old laptop battery kept dying overnight. Took me a week to realize the lid sensor was broken, so it never went to sleep. @the_amy, it's always something stupid like that. You fix a hundred complex things, then a two cent part ruins your whole day. Life's problems work the same way. The big fights are obvious, but a tiny, quiet resentment can drain a relationship for years.
