My injector swap turned into a nightmare after I skipped the torque sequence on a 6.7 Powerstroke in my driveway last March.

Had to pull the valve covers back off after 3 cylinders came loose at idle and blew a haze of smoke everywhere, ended up replacing two rocker arms and a pushrod from the damage, has anyone else learned this lesson the hard way?

Did you torque them all back down with a beam style torque wrench or a click style? I had a similar issue on a 7.3 where I got in a hurry and just used my click wrench without checking its calibration after it fell off the bench. Turns out it was way off and I ended up snapping a rocker bolt in the head, had to drill it out and helicoil the whole thing. That smoke cloud you described brings back memories of my driveway looking like a fog machine went off. At least you only bent a pushrod, could have been a whole new head if that bolt snapped deeper.
