Tried a beat-up $15 watch for a month, here's what surprised me
I usually wear a smartwatch, but I picked up an old mechanical from a pawn shop near downtown for 15 bucks just to see if the hype was real. First week, I kept reaching for my phone to check the time, then I stopped because winding it every morning became a ritual I actually looked forward to. The accuracy is terrible, it gains about 4 minutes a day, but somehow that makes me more patient, not less. Anyone else find that a 'worse' piece of gear changes how you use it, or am I just romanticizing junk?

Embrace the drift, it teaches you to live on real time.
