That $80 titanium spork I bought was a total joke

I got really into ultralight hiking gear about 2 years ago and thought I needed a titanium spork to save those precious grams. Cost me $80 from some boutique outdoor shop online and I was so proud of myself when it arrived. First time I used it on a camping trip in the Smokies I realized it's terrible for scooping anything soupy because the tines are too wide apart. Then I tried to use it to stir my coffee and the handle got so hot I burned my fingers. A regular plastic spoon from the gas station works better and costs like a quarter. Honestly I wasted $79.75 on that thing and now it just sits in my junk drawer mocking me. Has anyone else fallen for some overpriced gear that completely failed at the basic job?

Falling for expensive gear that doesn't work is the worst, feels like getting scammed.

Ugh yeah I read some reviewers saying the same thing about those high-end hiking boots falling apart in months.
