Rant: Blew $180 on a pentest course that taught me nothing real
I grabbed a $180 penetration testing bundle last spring from a guy with a big YouTube following. The labs were all pre-broken, so I never actually learned how to find a real vulnerability on my own network. Then I tried the same tricks on a client's setup and got nowhere for three weeks. Isn't the whole point of paying for training to save you time, not waste it? Anyone else regret a cyber course that looked great on paper but flopped in practice?
