Heat shrink without a heat gun, who knew
My cheap soldering iron never gets hot enough for thick gauge wires, so I always dreaded heatshrink on my hand-wired builds. Last month I tried a cheap $9 mini torch lighter from the gas station on a 5-pin connector and it worked PERFECT, no melted insulation or uneven shrink. Anyone else got a janky tool hack for finishing their cable builds that actually holds up?
