Bent 4 pins on my first hot swap build in Denver and fixed it with a $3 tool
I was socketing a batch of switches into my new 65% board at my desk in Denver last week when I felt one go in crooked and heard a tiny crunch. Two pins folded flat and one started to bend, so I pulled the switch, grabbed a cheap pair of fine tweezers and a $3 flashlight, and spent 20 minutes straightening them against a flat surface until the switch clicked in smooth again. Has anyone else saved a switch this way, or do you just toss bent pins and grab a spare?
