Am I the only one who totally ruined a board with too much lube?

I was so sure that more lube meant a smoother typing feel, so I went overboard on my new linear switches. Now the switches are mushy and unresponsive, and I think I might have to desolder the whole thing. How do you guys measure lube without ending up like me?

Measure your lube like it's medicine, not ketchup lol. A tiny drop on the stem does way more than you think. You basically made butter soup for your switches.

Disagree completely, sometimes you need that butter soup for the right feel. Margaret's cooking rule doesn't apply here.

Classic case of more isn't always better. Seen it with cooking, cleaning, now keyboard lube.
