A guy at the Austin meetup showed me how to fix my first solder joint
Back in 2019 I brought my first build to a small meetup at a coffee shop on South Congress in Austin, and the spacebar joint looked like a cold blob. An older guy named Ray asked to see it, flipped the board over, and said "your iron is too cold, turn it up and count to two." He reflowed the pad in about 10 seconds and handed it back working. I still think about that when I see new folks struggling with the same blob, and I try to pass it on. Do you all remember the first person who showed you a fix in person?
