Hit 800 credit score and honestly it's not the golden ticket everyone says

Finally crossed 800 last month after years of micromanaging everything and my car loan rate was only 0.3% lower than when I was at 740, so what's the real difference for most of us?

Honestly, that sounds about right, the real payoff is just peace of mind and not sweating the late fees.

I mean I get what you're saying @the_simon but for me peace of mind isn't worth paying extra every month. The late fees are annoying but they're still way cheaper than shelling out for insurance or subscriptions I barely use. I'd rather just set a reminder and deal with the occasional $5 fee than lock myself into another monthly bill. Idk maybe it's just me but I feel like people overestimate how much stress a late fee actually causes.
