A guy at the laundromat gave me a story idea without knowing it

I was folding clothes at the Spin Cycle on 5th Street about a month ago. An older man at the machine next to me was carefully smoothing out a single, bright yellow handkerchief. I made a small comment about it being a nice color. He looked up and said, 'My wife picked this out 47 years ago. She said it was the color of the sun on our kitchen table the day we met.' He just went back to folding, and I was stuck there. It wasn't a long talk, but that one line built a whole world. I wrote it down right there on a receipt. It made me see how a tiny, specific detail someone says can unlock a character's entire history. What's the best 'found' line you've heard that sparked a story for you?

That's the magic, how a single line can hold a whole life.
