Unpopular take on the community garden by the highway

Everyone raves about the raised beds at the Elm Street community garden but I stopped by last Tuesday and half the tomatoes had blight spots the size of quarters. I'd rather eat my own twisted, bug-bitten carrots from a cracked clay pot than pretend those were winners.

Blame the volunteers who don't know how to water properly or treat soil. Those beds get neglected when the regulars are too busy posting photos on Instagram instead of actually tending the plants. You'd have better luck growing vegetables in a bucket on your fire escape than relying on that place.

Drainage holes were clogged on half the plots last time I checked.
