Screen freeze mid-lift has me thinking about crane control choices

Last week, I was using a crane with a full touch screen interface for a tricky lift. The screen went blank for just a second, and my heart jumped. I know some operators love these new setups, saying they are more precise and help with complex jobs. But I spent most of my career with cranes that have physical levers and dials, and I always felt more in control. You can feel the load through the lever, which lets you react faster sometimes. Other guys tell me I need to get with the times and embrace the digital stuff. So, what's your take? Are touch screens really better, or do we lose something important with all this tech?

Just like old car radios, physical buttons rarely leave you hanging mid task.

But what about when those old buttons break or get sticky? My last car radio's volume knob got totally stuck.

My new stove's touch panel glitched, same trust issue with digital controls.
