My CEO accidentally emailed the entire company a draft of our settlement terms last Tuesday

Someone hit 'reply all' instead of forwarding it to legal and now 300 people know we're paying out $2.4 million. Has anyone else had a wild email thread spiral into a discovery issue?

Saw a similar story on a legal podcast where that exact reply all mistake cost a company way more than the settlement @jade271

Wow, that's rough but honestly I'm not sure it's the end of the world. In my experience, most people just hit delete on company-wide emails and move on. Unless someone in that 300 person group is actually a lawyer or invested in your company's drama, they probably skimmed it and forgot about it by lunch. Plus draft terms get changed all the time, so what you saw Tuesday might not even be the final deal. Take this with a grain of salt but I doubt one accidental email is going to blow up into a real discovery issue unless someone starts screenshotting and sharing it externally.
