Hit 300 cases this quarter without even noticing
I was going through my billing records last night and realized I've handled 300 corporate litigation cases since I started in 2008. It hit me how much the process has changed from paper filings and in-person hearings to mostly Zoom calls and e-filing. Does anyone else feel like the younger associates don't appreciate how fast things used to move in a real courtroom?

The 300 cases milestone is a big deal... I remember when I hit around 250 and just sat there staring at my old case files from 2010, all those paper bonds and thick manila folders. The younger folks definitely don't get what it was like rushing to the courthouse before the clerk's office closed at 4 PM, or waiting in line for a judge to sign an order. Zoom feels like a different profession sometimes, but I do miss the adrenaline of an actual courtroom when the judge would snap at someone and the whole room would go quiet. It's hard explaining that to associates who've only ever argued motions from their home office.
