Finally got a win after our discovery deadline disaster

Oof, so we totally missed a filing deadline for a document production in a supplier contract dispute. My paralegal was out sick and the calendar alert just got buried. Ngl, I was sweating bullets thinking the judge would just slap us with sanctions. Spent a whole weekend and like three urgent motions explaining the situation and getting everything together. The other side fought it hard, called it gross negligence. Just got the order, and the judge is letting us file late with a warning. Not exactly a trophy, but after that panic, it feels like a championship.

Glad that worked out for you, seriously. After my own close call, I set up a duplicate calendar system (one for me, one for the paralegal) for every single deadline now.

Oh man... I almost missed a court filing date by one day. My stomach dropped when I realized. Now I put every deadline in my phone with two alerts, one a week out and another 48 hours before. It's the only way my brain lets me sleep at night.
