Discovery costs ate my 40k settlement before trial started
Settled a breach case for 40k only to realize I'd already blown 52k on document review. Six associates, two vendors, three months. E-discovery vendors bill like they're funding a space program. Anyone else have a settlement that was a net loss after you added up what you spent actually proving the damages?
