Serious question, why does everyone new think you can just pour and walk away?

I watched a kid in Omaha last Tuesday dump a slab and not even touch it with a float, said his phone told him self-leveling concrete doesn't need finishing, where did that idea even come from?

Did that app have a disclaimer in tiny print somewhere? Self-leveling concrete still needs a spiked roller to pop air bubbles and a gauge rake to check depth, especially if you want the floor to actually be flat instead of looking like a weird frozen pond. I've seen guys skip the finishing steps and end up with a floor that has pinholes or a wavy surface that never dries right. Why would anyone trust a phone over someone who's done this work for years?
