Drove past that new foundation pour on Meridian and 3rd in Boise

Saw they left the edge trowel marks all jagged and didn't even hit it with a broom finish after. Anyone else get sick of seeing shoddy work like that just because it's not gonna be visible under siding?

Hold up though, those jagged trowel marks might be on purpose if they're planning to put rigid foam or something over it later. The rough texture actually helps the adhesive grab better than a smooth broom finish would. Still looks sloppy to me, but I've seen a few guys do it that way on purpose for insulation.

Is it just me or does that look like they were trying to do a swirl finish and gave up halfway through? Reminds me of my buddy's old deck redo, he tried to stamp a pattern in the concrete with a piece of plywood and it ended up looking like a giant waffle. We had to cover the whole thing with thick deck stain just to hide the mess.
