DAE spend 6 hours chasing a cold joint that was really just my float getting dry
I fought a 12 foot cold joint on a Tuesday pour in Tucson for almost 6 hours, reworking the mix, adding retarder, adjusting my timing, before I finally figured out the real culprit was my magnesium float drying out and dragging the paste, and a quick dunk in a bucket of water fixed it in 2 minutes, so has anyone else blamed their mix when it was really a bone dry tool the whole time?
