Vent: cloning drives with the mfr tool cost me a whole Saturday vs Clonezilla
Spent 5 hours last Saturday fighting the Seagate DiscWizard on a 1TB laptop drive that kept erroring out at 87 percent, so I finally booted Clonezilla off a USB and had it done in 22 minutes. If you're still using whatever software came in the box, do yourself a favor and switch. What's your go-to for cloning when the drive is already half dead?
