Just saw a weird setup at a client's office in Dallas
They had a server rack in a small closet with no cooling, just a box fan blowing hot air around. The room temp was 85 degrees and the server logs showed three shutdowns this month. I told them they need proper AC or a vent, but the boss said it's too much money. How do you guys handle clients who won't listen about basic heat issues?

Been in that exact spot before. You have to frame it as a money problem they already have, not a new cost. Those shutdowns mean lost work time and hardware that's cooking itself to death. A dead server is way more expensive than a portable AC unit or a louvered door. Sometimes showing the math on potential data loss gets their attention.
