Just realized our biggest delay came from a curious octopus
It wrapped around our equipment and wouldn't let go for an hour. We had to gently coax it off while the client topside kept asking for updates.

Reading how bait worked every time made me notice how often the simplest lure gets the job done. Like with email subject lines, the plain "here's your receipt" ones always get opened while flashy ones get ignored (it's a weird little pattern). I see it in grocery stores too, where putting the cheap bread at the back makes everyone walk past all the expensive stuff. Some basic hooks just work on people without fail.

Funny how it works on animals too. My neighbor's cat ignores fancy toys but goes nuts for a piece of string tied to a chair leg. Same basic idea.
