My local shop had a big sale on back issues and it was a total mess
Last Friday, my comic shop in Dayton announced a 50% off sale on all back issues. I got there right when they opened, but the place was already packed. People were grabbing stacks without looking, and I saw a guy rip a cover on a 1990s X-Men book because he was in such a hurry. It felt less like a fun hunt and more like a fight. Has anyone else had a sale day turn bad like that?

That's just part of the hunt, man.

Hey @price.jake, isn't the hunt supposed to be fun? In my experience, when it feels like a frustrating chore, that's a sign the system is broken. I've spent hours just trying to find basic info that should be up front.

Wait, Price.Jake, you think digging through a pile of damaged books for hours is part of the fun? My buddy spent thirty minutes just trying to find a Grayson #1 that was actually in good shape, but everything had bent corners or spine ticks. How is that a system working right? Feels like the shop should have at least sorted stuff better or put a limit on how many stacks one person could grab at a time.
