Bought a fancy glass carafe off Etsy, it cracked on day two

I spent $45 on this thick glass cold brew carafe with a wooden lid, looked amazing in the photos. Day one it worked great, but on day two I poured in my usual room temp brew and the bottom just split right down the middle. Coffee went all over my kitchen counter and I was out $45 plus a whole batch of beans. Anyone else had glass containers fail like this, or should I just stick with my old Mason jar setup?
