Our monthly coffee crawl just got a boost with new cafe partners

The coffee crawl in my neighborhood has been running for a while. Recently, a couple of new cafes joined in, which really livened things up. How do you all keep your local coffee scenes fresh?

My friend Ben's coffee group in Portland was losing steam until they linked up with a bookstore cafe last fall. They did a monthly "brews and books" thing where you'd get a discount if you bought both, and it brought in a totally different crowd. I mean, sometimes you just need that one new partner to shake up the routine.

Ben's group learned that bookstore events need more than just discounts to keep people coming back! They added author readings and saw attendance double by spring. The key is creating a real event, not just a deal.
