Bought a fancy temperature controlled kettle and it broke after 3 months

I spent $130 on a gooseneck kettle with digital temp settings back in June. By September the sensor started reading wrong and it would boil over or not heat at all. Now i'm stuck using a regular stovetop kettle again and honestly my morning pour overs taste just as good. Anyone else had a high end kettle crap out way too fast?

My $150 Stagg kettle did the same thing after four months. The temp display started jumping around and water would barely get hot. I tore it apart and the circuit board had corrosion on it from steam getting in. They're not sealed well at all. Such a waste of money for something that just sits on a counter. Going back to my $30 stovetop kettle for sure.
