Finally got my rock paper scissors game to stop cheating, 22 tries later
Two months into learning Python, I built a rock paper scissors game as practice and it kept letting the computer win way too often. I couldn't figure out why until I realized my if statements checked the player's move first every single time, so ties and losses got sorted wrong. After 22 edits and a lot of print statements, I rewrote the logic with a dictionary comparing both picks and my win rate jumped from 31 percent to a normal 50ish. Ran it 100 times with random inputs just to confirm and it held steady, which felt way better than it should have for such a tiny program. What was the first bug that made you want to throw your laptop out the window?
