That $29 tool offset calculator turned me around on old-school methods

I used to think manual offset math was just a waste of time until I picked up one of those cheap calculators from the swap meet in Dayton. It's not the gadget itself, it's that it showed me my error rate was like 12% over my last 200 parts, which explained a lot of scrapped runs. Has anyone else tried those and found it actually made them trust the math more?
