Our scrap rate went from 12% to under 2% in six months and it's all because of one thing

Honestly, our floor was a mess with bad parts all the time. The boss finally made us do a five minute cleanup and tool check before every shift start. Tbh, I thought it was a waste of time at first. Now we catch loose vises and chipped inserts before they ruin a whole run. Has anyone else's shop made a small change that fixed a big problem?

Know that feeling. We fought a similar battle with coolant leaks. Boss made us check all the lines every Monday morning. Felt like busy work until it wasn't.
