Had a weird chatter issue on a 304 stainless part, fixed it with a weird feed change.

Running a batch of 304 stainless brackets on the mill, getting that awful high-pitched squeal on the finish pass. Tried adjusting speeds, checked the tool holder, nothing helped. On a hunch, I bumped the feed from 8 IPM up to 11 IPM, which felt wrong for a finish. The chatter just stopped, and the surface finish looked perfect. The setup guy said he'd never seen that fix for stainless before. Has anyone else had to go faster on the feed to kill vibration in a tough material?

On a hunch" moments like that really changed how I see feeds.

My friend in college showed me her Twitter feed had 40% less political stuff than mine, just from one "mute word" choice. It made me realize feeds aren't just algorithms, they're a collection of our own little hunches over time. That's the part @thompson.abby I feel like gets missed, how much our past clicks quietly build these totally different worlds.

That "collection of our own little hunches" line really got me. It's like we're all training our own little feed monsters without knowing it. I muted one political figure last year and now my explore page is all baking videos. What's a mute word or follow that accidentally changed your feed the most? Like, did you follow a cat account and now it's all pets?
