My industrial brush snapped mid-sweep on a job in Portland last Thursday

I was halfway through a creosote buildup on a rental property when the center rod just gave out sending bristles everywhere, has anyone else had a brush head fail like that without warning?

Got a cheapie brush from a hardware store last month and the head popped off on the third use. Guess that's what I get for trying to save ten bucks.

Bristles went everywhere" - did you check if the rod was cracked before it snapped?

Wait, did the rod snap clean or did it bend first? Last year I had a brush head fly off a drill attachment on a roof in the middle of a heavy rainstorm. Thing went spinning into a gutter and took out a downspout. Couldn't find the bristles anywhere, ended up clogging a leaf guard. Took me an hour with a shop vac to fish them out.
