Cold milk trick for frosted flakes actually worked for me

I always let my milk sit in the fridge for 20 minutes before pouring, but last Saturday I tried freezing a thin layer in the bowl first. The leftover milk came out thicker and way sweeter, almost like a milkshake. Anyone else mess with bowl temp or am I just weird?
