Had to choose between flaxseed oil and Crisco for my latest seasoning round
I went with Crisco after reading about flaxseed flaking issues, and after 4 rounds of seasoning my pan came out this perfect dark bronze color that eggs slide right off of - anyone else stick with the trusty vegetable shortening?

@noah_barnes, my buddy Mark used Crisco and his pan turned out perfect first try after 3 rounds.

Funny enough, I just did the same thing last week. My first few seasoning attempts looked like a kid's art project gone wrong, but Crisco turned it into something halfway respectable.
