PSA: A homeowner's complaint about my seams totally changed my technique
Had a lady call me back after a job 3 months ago in Columbus. Said she could feel every seam with her bare feet. I was doing the standard seam tape and roller method I learned from a buddy. She showed me where they were all lifting just a bit. Went home and watched like 20 videos about heat-seaming. Now I use a seaming iron set to exactly 250 degrees and run it slower than I used to. Also started using a weighted roller on every seam for a full 5 minutes. The seams are basically invisible and totally flat now. Has anyone else had to completely rework their seam game after a callback?

Damn, 250 degrees exactly? That's precise. I've been doing mine at like 275 and now I'm wondering if that's too hot.
She felt every seam with bare feet? That's wild. I've never had a customer that thorough with their inspection.
Makes me want to go back and recheck all my old jobs now.
