Old installer told me my seam rolling was too light...

He watched me for 2 minutes and said "you're not even denting the glue." I started putting my whole body weight into it instead of just arm pressure, and my seams stopped peaking after 3 months of issues. Anyone else get called out for something basic like that?

Yeah that “you’re not even denting the glue” line hits hard. I had a similar wake up call with a metal brake. Guy told me I was just tickling the metal. He had me lean into it with my hips instead of just pulling down with my arms. Started getting clean bends after that. Sometimes you just need to commit and use your whole body.

Honestly, the "tickling the metal" thing from gavine41 got me thinking. Nobody talks about how different materials need totally different amounts of force. Like, I was seam rolling on some cheap aluminum coil one time and it dented just from looking at it wrong, but then I switched to a thicker commercial grade and thought my tool was broken. The trick isn't just using more weight, it's knowing when to back off too because that glue will crush out the sides if you overdo it on thinner stuff.
