PSA: tried running my quad on ethanol blended fuel up in Prince George and the carb paid the price
Filled up at a station off Highway 97 near Prince George last month because it was the only pump for 40 km, and the 10 percent ethanol mix ran fine for about two days. Then my Foreman started bogging at low rpm and would not hold an idle worth a damn, so I pulled the carb and found a white crusty film gumming up the jets after maybe 60 km of riding. Cleaned it out with carb spray, swapped the fuel filter, and ran a tank of premium, and it cleared right up. Any of you run an additive when you get stuck with blended fuel up north, or do you just drain the bowl before you park it?
