Rant: My cheap sleeping pad popped on night one in Shenandoah

After driving 4 hours to Shenandoah last weekend, my $25 foam pad delaminated by 11 PM and I spent the rest of the night on cold dirt - anyone have a budget option that actually holds up for more than one trip?

cheap sleeping pad popped on night one" - yep, I feel your pain. I had the same thing happen with a budget pad in the Smokies and switched to a closed-cell foam pad from a military surplus store for like $30. That thing has lasted through three seasons of abuse and never fails, even if it's a bit bulkier to carry.
