I kept losing the bottom layer because trays slide on each other, so I started wedging them between the table legs. Ended up using 14 trays and it stood just long enough for one photo. Anyone found a trick for locking the corners without tape?
14 trays is solid but the table legs are doing the real work there. Trays alone will always slide since they are smooth plastic on smooth plastic, so the bottom layer needs something with grip. Try laying down a few trays flat as a base first, then build the walls on top of that instead of starting from the table. Also, corner locking works better if you alternate the way each tray faces so the lips catch on each other.
