Built a 6 tray tower in the cafeteria on Tuesday and watched it hold, so now I'm done with flat designs
For two months I only built ramps and slides with trays. Low stuff, safe stuff. I figured anything tall would collapse and get me sent to the principal's office.
Then Tuesday at lunch, a kid named Marcus stacked 6 trays in a tower shape at our table in the Fairview Middle cafeteria. He put the heavy ones at the bottom and locked each corner. It stood there for the whole lunch period. A lunch lady walked by, looked at it, and kept going.
That did it for me. I tried a 4 tray tower on Wednesday and got it to stay up for 10 minutes before the bell. Turns out height is not the problem, it is where you put the weight.
Anyone here build towers over 5 trays and have tips for keeping the top from wobbling? Mine leans left no matter what I do.
