My RGB cable snake escaped again behind the desk in Austin

Was swapping out my monitor last night and the whole zip tied mess just unraveled like 6 feet of spaghetti, took 40 minutes to reroute everything. Has anyone tried those magnetic cable clips on a metal desk frame, or do they just slide off with the weight of a power strip?

Forty minutes of rerouting cables sounds like a whole Saturday project, not a quick swap. I mean, I get it, my desk looks like a plate of ramen back there too, but if the screens work and nothing is catching fire, you basically won. Those magnetic clips work fine on my fridge, but my power strip weighs like two pounds, so I just use heavy duty zip ties and call it a day. Honestly, the real question is why we all act like cable management is some kind of hobby when we just end up messing with it again in a month. You do you though, just don't buy the cheap ones, they snap off in a week.
