My buddy's comment about zip tie placement actually made a difference

I was helping my friend Mike set up his gaming PC last weekend and he pointed out that my zip ties were all on the bottom of the desk where you can see them from the side. He said 'why not flip them upside down so the tail hides behind the cable?' I tried it on my own desk and now I don't have those little plastic nubs sticking out everywhere. Has anyone else found a simple trick like that that changed how you manage wires?

Totally agree, that little flip trick is a game changer. I started doing the same thing after a buddy mentioned it on my own setup and now I can't believe I ever left them visible. Another simple one that changed everything for me was using those little adhesive cable clips that stick to the underside of the desk. They keep everything off the floor and out of sight without needing to drill holes. Also, if you've got a power strip with a long cord, just zip tie the extra length to the bottom of the desk frame so it's hidden but still easy to reach. It's wild how such small moves make the whole desk look cleaner.

Did you use those adhesive clips on a glass desk top? I tried some once but they kept peeling off after a few weeks. Had to switch to ones with stronger 3M tape. Which brand actually holds up long term?
